Dripping Springs Doings

With the holidays coming upon us quickly, you will no doubt start thinking of what to do to entertain guests and also get some of your holiday shopping completed.  If you live in Dripping Springs then you are in luck.  During the month of November, there are many activities to consider. 

There will be a Blood Drive on Saturday, November 11th at the Hill Country Senior Activity Center from 10 am to 2:30 pm. If you would like to donate make sure to have a full stomach and please bring your photo id.

On November 12th from 2 pm to 5 pm, you can shop exclusive local vendors, designers, and shops at Jingle Belterra.  This first annual neighborhood shopping event will be held at The Retreat at San Saba. Santa will make a special appearance for photos and would love for the kids to bring cookies to share! There will be door prizes and wine pouring.  Please RSVP at Jingle Belterra on Facebook.

Harvest Rain is presenting the 2nd Annual TANKSgiving on November 17th from 3 pm to 6 pm.  This event will have free food and cold beer.  There will be a giveaway, huge discounts and a 10k gallon contained tank raffle.  Please RSVP to 512-645-2955 to join the fun!

On Saturday, November 18th, Holy Spirit Episcopal Women’s Group is having a Holiday Bazaar from 10 am to 5 pm.  There will be a silent auction, tamale sales, craft booths and grandma’s pantry.  The group is still adding vendors so if you are interested in this event and would like to be a vendor please contact Bridget Elliot at betroop988@gmail.com.

The weekend after Thanksgiving the Dripping Springs Chamber of Commerce is holding a Hill Country Holiday Gift Tour.  This event will be held on November 25th from 10 am to 5 pm.  There will be over 30 Dripping Springs Area Merchants, along with an open house and gift tour. You can purchase tickets for $40 to participate in the tour and will also receive a holiday bag with maps and coupons for participating merchants and restaurants. There is a limit of four tickets per person. This event accepts cash or checks only.

The last weekend of November the Dripping Springs Market Days will be holding the Holiday Extravaganza at Dripping Springs Ranch Park. This will be a unique shopping experience with over 60+ Texas Artisans offering handmade items. On Saturday the 25th, the market will be open from 10 am to 5 pm.  On Sunday the 26th, the market is open from 11 am to 4 pm. There will be live music, food and wine available. Admission is $1.00 for adults/children are free.
