Bastrop is “The place to live” Real Estate-Cost of Living are good!

Posted by Sharon Rosshirt on Monday, November 30th, 2015 at 1:13pm.

The main corridor of The City of Bastrop State Highway 71 is starting to look like Cities that are much larger in population! We are getting our 4th Hwy 71 Fly-over in a short 5-6 years, this time a fly-over of one of Bastrop’s largest populated subdivision Tahitian Village appears to be moving quickly!

The word I get is that the next highway flyover @ Hwy 71 and Hwy 95 is on schedule to get started 2016-2017.

Bastrop Real Estate offers the home buyer many options from Historic Downtown homes for those that love the old town feeling and want to feel the heartbeat of the County! Downtown was originally developed along the Colorado River and has spread out over time!  Several larger subdivisions, Tahitian Village, The Colony, ColoVista, Circle D are still growing in the number of homes being built within their limits!

Smaller subdivisions have grown to their limits, Hunters Crossing, Riverside Grove, resales are basically the only option for them.

There are several larger subdivisions in the development stages currently.

Bastrop offers the small sized home sites less than a quarter acre, to those that can be 1-5+ acres which is one of the greatest attractions to the Bastrop County market.

The highways are like most city traffic on Friday and Sunday as travelers flow between the Central Texas Lakes and the Austin nightlife, or head to Houston or College Station for their weekend pleasures! But with the new flyovers the end of congestion as we know it should soon be in our “rear view mirror”.

Having seen Bastrop grow from its first Fast Food on Hwy 71, to a variety of your well know franchise’s and small business owner opportunities has been and exciting life experience.

Bastrop Homes are still selling for prices that are reasonable and found to be a delight to those that have shopped the other markets that surround Austin. Add the fact that Bastrop is still poised to grow over the next 30 years as predicted, it’s obvious investing in Bastrop is a wise move!

Bastrop’s Commercial Real Estate is a great investment as often your still seeing a price per acre vs price per sq ft. The Hwy 71 Corridor and the Loop 150 areas have many available parcels of land for development. The lack of office space, sending the message that additional growth and development in Commercial properties is needed.

The City of Bastrop and Bastrop County is ready for your Business Ideas and Development and offers a Life Style with a Rural Flare, We’re just minutes to Austin for those that need the occasional city fix!
